As we move into autumn and winter and the nights are now starting to draw in once again, the walking of our dogs on our country roads and lanes can be a visibility issue.

We would like to take this opportunity to remind people of the safety when walking their dogs in the dark.

Here are some key safety tips to keep in mind:

Microchip and ID: Ensure your dog is microchipped and wearing a collar with up-to-date contact details to help reunite them in case of a lost situation.

Familiar Routes: Choose well-lit routes to familiarize your dog with their surroundings and to reduce the risk of losing them in the dark.
